Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026

This policy explains how Placages X Press inc. ("we", "our") collects, uses, retains, and protects the personal information of visitors to its website and its clients, in accordance with Québec's Law 25 (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information).

Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it to us, notably when you fill out one of our quote request forms. This information may include: your name, your company name, your phone number, your email address, as well as details about your project (product type, dimensions, wood species, quantity, timeline, attached files such as plans or drawings).

We also collect browsing data anonymously and in aggregate using Google Analytics (for example, pages visited, time spent, device type), but only if you have given your consent via our cookie banner.

Purposes of Collection

Consent and Cookies

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, refuse, or customize the cookies used on our site. Cookies essential to the site's operation are always active. Statistics cookies (Google Analytics) are activated only if you explicitly consent. You can change your choices at any time by clearing your browser data for our site, which will bring the consent banner back up.

Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we use external service providers for certain technical functions: Formspree, to securely route quote request forms to our email inbox, and Google Analytics, to compile anonymized traffic statistics (only if you consent). These providers may process data outside Québec and are subject to their own privacy policies.

Retention of Information

We retain the information provided as part of a quote request for as long as necessary to process your request and ensure reasonable business follow-up, after which it is deleted or anonymized, unless the law requires longer retention (for example, for accounting or tax purposes).

Security of Information

We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information you entrust to us against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.

Your Rights

In accordance with Law 25, you have the right to:

Person Responsible for the Protection of Personal Information

Any question or request regarding your personal information may be addressed to: Sylvain Galipeau, Person Responsible for the Protection of Personal Information, Placages X Press inc., 475, Ch. des Patriotes, Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu (QC) J0H 1K0, phone: 514-755-9590, email: info@placagesxpress.com.
